Red Alert

I was listening to the news just lately and I was shocked that the news started with the weather forecast (I mean, it doesn’t usually start with that?) and they were showing the possible routes of the incoming typhoon locally named ‘Ruby’. I was amazed how Mang Tanny (Nathaniel Cruz) of GMA weather forecast gave the full details of the expected typhoon that will enter the country. As I was listening to it, I felt fear. Hearing places like Quezon or Leyte, it just breaks my heart.

Quezon has been part of my life for 13 years specifically Lucban, Quezon and majority of my friends and those who are considered as my family lives there. It’s just frightening that hearing a news like this that a SUPER TYPHOON has possibility to rainfall on that place. What could be more dreadful than that?

Leyte.. Visayas.. We have been taught by God to love the place that we are living in and all of the people we live with because He has loved us all. Leyte is part of the Philippines and they are our fellow Filipinos. It means, they are our brothers and sisters. Hearing news from last year’s calamity, Yolanda, was really dreadful and hearing that there is a big possibility of the typhoon to give up heavy rainfall again on Visayas just makes me sad even more. But the thing here is that people from different parts of the Philippines are getting ready for this incoming typhoon even if it means leaving their houses to evacuate. Everybody is preparing. Everybody knows this is gonna be something to get ready for.

There is a low possibility of rain tomorrow (Friday) in Metro Manila but rains are expected to come on Saturday.
Let us just continue to pray for the safety of our brothers and sisters from all over the Philippines.
